Last year, on September 20th, Hurricane Maria destroyed our beautiful Island of Puerto Rico, as well as our home. During the passing of the hurricane, we lost our roof, which was made of wood and tin. Consequently, we lost all of our furniture and other material belongings inside the house. Luckily, the ones that live in this home and myself spent the passing of the hurricane elsewhere and were not harmed. My grandmother, great-grandfather and myself live in this home, and have done so for most of our lives. It is a very special place for us, and a piece of ourselves was lost when we saw that our home had been destroyed. Therefore, we ask you to help us rebuild our roof, and along with it, the things that make our home vital and special. I'm a 23 year old Psychology student and work two jobs, trying to aid my grandmother and great-grandfather to the best of my abilities. I'm just asking you to aid us with whatever amount you're able to. If not, just sharing this campaign will be greatly appreciated by myself, my grandmother and great-grandfather.
