Help for Stephanie's Surgery

Donation protected
My beautiful sister has a Meningioma brain tumor located on the right side of her brain in between her spinal cord and carotid artery. It is not cancerous but because of where it's located surgery is a must. Her surgery is scheduled for September 25th. She has insurance but it will not cover the entire cost nor will it help her family in the weeks following during her recovery.

Let me tell you a little about Steph and her family. She is married to an incredible man, husband, and father. Roland is a quiet, patient, faithful man who works incredibly hard to provide for his family. If he had only one dollar left he would give it to someone who needed it. As well as working he is a volunteer fire fighter and active member of their church. As far as brothers-in-law go he's pretty awesome and I'm thankful that he's married to my sister. They are a wonderful team and support one another fully.

Stephanie and Roland are the parents of two adorable boys. Jackson just turned 5 this month. He's very outgoing and talkative! He's also astute and inquisitive. His smile will light your heart and his singing and shenanigans are so funny you just can't get enough. Little Colton was born this past March. He is such a good baby. He gave his first smile to me (no, it wasn't gas!). There is wisdom in his eyes and his cheeks....oh, his sweet little cheeks <3

Steph...my baby sister. She is as beautiful inside as she is outside. She is full of grace and peace. Stephanie rarely complains and even when she does it's only about silly little things that we ALL complain about. She is a patient and loving mother, always looking for new things to try and bring art, music, culture, and joy to Jackson (Colton will grow to know this in time). Her sense of humor and calm about this whole thing makes it impossible not to smile. She even uses a poorly done Arnold accent when she refers to her "tu-mah." I have so much respect and admiration for this woman. She makes me want to be a better person.

Stephanie and Roland have never asked for hand-outs. They work hard for everything they have, which isn't much but more than enough when you live in a home filled with such love and devotion. I asked her if I could do this because I know they need help and, until I win the lottery, my hands are tied. I've set the goal for $10,000 right now. This may go up or down depending on what the insurance company tells them what will be out of pocket. I've also included a month's worth of bills so that Roland will be able to take off of work following her surgery. She is expected to be in the hospital for at least a week and then pretty much out of it for a month.

Anything helps and will be GREATLY appreciated.

Please share this page. There is no one more deserving in my humble opinion.

Thank you,
Alexis
