Help the Harper family

If you want to help Hurricane Harvey victims, consider helping this family from Beaumont, Texas. They are very near and dear to my heart. Vickie and Lanis Harper are my sister's in-laws.. but they might as well be mine too. To know them is to love them. They have three grown children and five grandchildren.

As many of you know, Beaumont was devastated by Harvey. The storm flooded streets, homes and knocked out the entire city's water supply. As we watched the horror of the storm from the comfort of our living rooms, they are living it. The above videos show the outside and inside of their home.  Their house was flooded nearly to the roof .  They do not live in a flood zone but the flooding was so catastrophic that it took over homes even on higher ground. Vickie and Lanis have no flood insurance and have now lost almost everything they own.

While the devastation of their current situation is truly indescribable, they are keeping such a good attitude. Lanis and his son, Bennett, have been rescuing people and animals stranded in floodwaters since Monday. They are not focused on themselves, but caring for those around them. Now, it's time someone cares for them. Join me in helping Vickie and Lanis rebuild their lives, home and family.
