Future Biomedical Engineer

Donation protected
My name is  Ryan Lluberes. I was born in Bronxville, (Yonkers), New York. I come from a single parent home. I'm a senior at Renaissance High School for Musical Theater and Technology. All my life, I've been classified as speech impaired with features of autism, and with delayed social and motor skills. Because of my disabilities, I have been sinlged out of many environments, social opportunities, rejected, and isolated  by my biological father, peers and family members. But, with such a strong mother, and full of hope and faith. She never gave up on me. She supported me by providing me with tutoring programs, swimming programs, great vacations, and other resources to make me  feel normal. My mom also gave me a spiritual Christian atmosphere which has allowed me to have a strong relationship with Christ. Due to my disabilities, I was offered many academic special setting environments because teachers, physicians and other specialist  thought it would be the best setting for me. Despite the offers, my mom rejected them all and fought, so that I could remain in the public school special education settings. I was even offered a live-in institution with all expenses paid. But of course, my mom turned it down. Today, I have passed all my required state Regents exams, placed in mainstream classroom settings, I'm  taking a college course with Mercy College, I'm a member of a musical theater nonprofit company and best of all,  I'm on my way to a private christian college ( Oral Roberts University). I've been accepted, but only offered merely anything close to the tuition. I want to be  a Biomedical Engineer to discover the cell that has caused me to have this downgrading disease and that has excluded me from  a normal childhood experiences. I want to discover, prevent, and heal those undergoing this same disease. The total cost of the tuition annually is 39,560. A fee very difficult to  afford as an entering college freshman for fall of 2014. I applied to some loans, but still need dorming accessories, a plane ticket, and a Mac Pro laptop from Apple. My hope and faith is that my financial goal is met, so that I can purchase the things that I mentioned above. Greatful will I always be, to those that will make every effort to support me in this new stage of my life.
