This is my family. These beautiful girls, our dogs and cats are now homeless due to fraud on my bank account and some really lousy timing. Our lease was up, we had a house all lined up and on the morning of the move, we learned that funds from my account had been stolen. I have reported the incident and it is being investigated, but in the short term, the money is gone. We have income though I draw disability but live paycheck to paycheck so we have no savings. What we had set aside for a new place through saving what we could and selling what we didn't need is gone We spent a few days in a tent, a few days with friends but will end up living in our car. Again the money that comes in is barely enough to cover our expenses month to month. This is devastating to me as I feel as though I have let my family down. I have been turned down by every agency I have applied to for help. Even homeless and virtually penniless, my income on disability is too high to qualify for any sort of aid. Asking for help is humbling and humiliating, but there is nothing I wouldn't do for my family. I refuse to give up hope. If I raise the amount of money I am asking for, it will go toward first/last and security on an apartment or a used camper for us to live in until we get back on our feet. Not asking for much, just a roof over our heads and a place to call home again. Thanks for reading and helping if you can.
