In October 2013, my sister Donna and her family moved to Florida for a better life. They were able to buy a comfortable home and settle in.
Two years later in November 2015, Donna felt a lump and was diagnosed with a low stage breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy and was given chemo and radiation treatments. She never lost her spirit. At this time she remained positive and never complained about the side effects of her treatments. She was able to go back to work six weeks after her surgery and tried to settle in to a normal life.
Unfortunatly at her regular checkup in May 2017 it was discovered that the breast cancer had reoccurred. The cancer had metatisized to the back, spine and brain. The doctors have opted to do radiation. She remains upbeat and continues to fight everyday.
Since the return of the cancer, she has not been able to return to work. The medical and household bills have become overwhelming.
