Traci's Medical Expenses

Traci had emergency surgery just before Christmas, and found out that she has Ovarian cancer. The doctors did a complete hysterectomy and she is now on chemo treatments. 

In her words - "I am especially lucky that it was caught early. Ovarian cancer often has no symptoms until it is far advanced, and it advances quickly. It is not something that women are routinely screened for. I can sit here and wish I had gone in at the very first sign a month and a half earlier, but there is no guarantee they would have done the surgery to try to make sure it was all gone, and I could have had to turn around after chemo and had yet another surgery. As it is, they did not get it all and now I am in the chemo routine."

Traci is a single mom with three teens and no insurance. Friends have helped along the way, but funds are needed to pay for the treatments, which will continue for at least two to three more months.
