Be a part of this amazing journey! I never thought I would be receving a bachelor's degree at this stage in my life. But I am thankful for schools like the University of Pheonix, for giving people like me a second chance. I have worked extremely hard during the past 3 years pursuiing my degree in business management. I am finally in the home stretch of this journey.
On June 14, 2014, I was inducted into the University of Phoenix Chapter of Delta Mu Delta, International Honor Society and on June 21st I graduated with honors. As you may know, going back to school in your forties is not easy. Balancing the normal responsibilities of being married, motherhood, and operating my small business, takes a toll, but I prayed, endured, and persevered through it.
Recently, I was informed by my financial advisor that the Department of Education, changed its criteria for financial aid assistance, and I am no longer eligible. This leaves me with a substantial short-fall. I was blessed to win a scholarship; however, it was not enough to cover the whole amount. My current balance stands at $4500.
I have come too far to allow all that I have invested, my sacrifices, and the sacrifices of my family, to be in vain. So I am asking for a donation to help me realize my goal. I thank you and my family appreciates each and every donation made towards my cause.
