We have been together for over 12 years. During the six years we have been dealing with fertility treatments we have never once asked for help from anyone. We have always done it on our own. But recently we suffered a miscarriage, with what would have been our 3rd beautiful baby. Havilah and I talked about it, and decided to reach out to the community for some help. This was not an easy decision. I work full time and my wife is a stay at home parent. We have been blessed with two beautiful little girls and have room in our hearts for one more child.
Due to circumstances we went with IVF(In Vitro Fertilization). We came out of that with three beautiful embryos. One was transferred, two were frozen. We were pregnant, the test came back positive, blood work came back positive, it was a success! Everything was going so well. My wife's numbers were great, there was no need/sign for concern. Until she started spotting. We were told this was normal, but for us it wasn't. Then on December 12th, 2020 we lost our baby. Due to Covid restrictions, I wasn't allowed in the Hospital with my wife for the ultrasound, blood work, or exam until the very end when they brought us into a room and told us our baby was gone. December was to be our month of celebration. We were expecting our third and last baby, Christmas was around the corner, we were so excited for the end of the year to come because we had something extra to celebrate. Then this happened.
It has been very hard dealing with this. Even though we were still a bit early in the pregnancy, it was and still is very painful.
We are going to try again. And if you aren't familiar with IVF, it's very expensive. Luckily we still have two frozen embryo, so two more chances of being blessed with our third and final baby. We are asking our community for any financial contribution to go towards making this next transfer less of a burden on us. After so much time, money, and emotion was invested to the first transfer, we could use the help. We have an appointment with our Doctor at the end of this month to start the process again for round two.
