Heartland Marimba Festival Composers

Donation protected
The Heartland Marimba Festival & Workshop (June 24-28, 2014) is directed each year by Matthew Coley in Ames, Iowa at Iowa State University. It offers an intensive workshop for students and pre-professional marimba players to further prepare them for a professional performing career and a diverse variety of free concerts every evening for the community.

The funding support that you pledge will go directly to the Composer and Recording initiatives of the Heartland Marimba Festival & Workshop. Money will help to fund commissioning fees for new compositions, travel expenses to bring composers to the heartland each summer, and recording costs to produce a professional quality recording of new pieces. Thank you, and every little bit that you can give helps us continue to make our artistic ideas come true.

HMFW's mission is to offer a platform for students, pre-professionals, and professionals to collaborate on the common goals of advancing marimba performance, offering concert opportunities to the surrounding communities, expanding the repertoire of marimba solo and chamber music, and creating high-quality audio recordings.
