Save Sammy

I don't like asking for help. I never have but my heart is breaking to pieces. I recently moved to Florida and left my younger son Paul and older son Michal, cat and dog in the care of my ex husband Kris. My plan was to return to Chicago to get my boys and animals as soon as I settled. Settling out of state has proven to be much harder and longer than anticipated and we are finally able to get Paul and the dog and cat at the end of this month. My older son Michal moved to Texas to go to College. My ex moved into his girlfriends house last Sunday Feb 9th and during that move my dog Sammy had a terrible accident which made his eye pop out of his socket (proptosis). My ex husband finally took Sammy to the Veterinarian on Tuesday and I was only able to communicate through my son Paul as to Sammys well being because ex blocked communication with me. My ex husband made an initial visit and got pain meds and antibiotics for Sammy but refused further care to examine Sammys eye to further find what exactly was the cause of the eye popping out of the socket and if it could be saved or needed to be removed. Proptosis is usually caused by trauma to the head which puts extreme pressure to the eye causing it pop out of the socket. Exes Gf has 3 dogs. Not blaming anybody as accidents happen but my ex did not inform me of refusing the examination cost which was $405 which would determine cause of proptosis and if the eye was repairable . I texted him many times if he would return with Sammy to the vet to get further examined but he ignored all my texts and communication through my son Paul. He finally returned my text today Saturday 15th and I asked again if he would take Sammy and he agreed as long as I paid. I told him to make an appointment ASAP and when he called the clinic the Vet told him that since Sammys eye has been out of his socket for such a long time that his eye is either already dead or dying and the  procedure to remove his eye will cost up to $1,800. I hate the situation I'm in and I want to be able to have enough money to get my son out of my exes house as soon as possible and help my dog and due to limited fund I am not able to do both.
