The Herberts Serve in Honduras

We are going on a mission trip to work with El Ayudante, a Christian mission near the city of Comayagua, Honduras. El Ayudante serves the needs of people in the rural area of Lo de Reina and its surrounding villages. Our trip will be from July 26-August 8, 2014. Shane will be leading a team that is forming from around the US called "The Finishers." This team will be responsible for completing projects that have been left unfinished by teams that come throughout the summer. This may include installing water filters, latrines, construction, and various other projects to show God's love in a practical way. There will also be opportunities to serve at their new medical/dental clinic that is opening in July!
Another reason for this trip is to explore the call that God has placed on our hearts for the people of Honduras. Whether this means moving to El Ayudante full time to serve as missionaries or simply spending our summers there remains to be seen. We are praying and seeking God's will in all things!
Obviously, this is a huge financial commitment and we certainly need help. Any amount that you can provide would be so greatly appreciated. Obviously, we will keep you updated on our progress and will provide reports during and after our trip of how YOU are partnering with us to serve the people of Honduras.
