flood damage fund

We have set up this page for Joshua Cannon, his wife Jennifer and their 4 young children (Trevor 10yr, Fox 4yr, Mira 2yr and Kellar one month old). They were all so happy living in their new home as Joshua and Jennifer were progressively making improvements and updates. Then on April 28-29th they were hit with a storm that rained over 20 inches in less than a 24 hour period.  This was the worst flood noted in this area in over 100 years. While many families were impacted by the storm, the Cannon's lost everything in their home.  They had standing water in the house for several days and on their property for several more. All of their furniture was damaged as well and much of their clothing, linens, strollers and much of the children's toys were ruined. Joshua and Jennifer had to remove all of the flooring, baseboard and drywall to the entire house. Since they DO NOT live in a flood zone, they do not have flood insurance therefore  are not covered by insurance.  They hope to receive funding from FEMA; however it will only cover a small amount needed for repairs in order to bring the house to livable standards.  Joshua evacuated his young family but he has stayed behind as he has worked endless and tireless hours with clean up and demolition. The Cannons have been very upbeat and optimistic while attempting to keep the children's life as normal as possible. To help the financial burden, we are setting up this donation account to assist the Cannons in their rebuilding in order to move ALL of the Cannons back into a safe environment.
