I am currently raising money to move to New York City this summer. For those who have not been keeping up with my Facebook statuses, I will be graduating from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Music this June and will be moving on to Manhattan School of Music for my Masters of Music in the fall! I am very excited for this new opportunity, and even more excited that I will be fulfilling a dream that I've had for a very long time -- to be able to live in arguably the greatest city in the world, New York City.
I will need approximately $13,000 by the end of this MONTH, which is, quite frankly, a lot to ask for. My parents will be supporting half of these costs, and that is already pushing their financial limits, especially since I have two younger siblings, one currently in college and one going to college within the next year. My tuition cost at Manhattan School of Music is completely covered by the scholarship I received from the school and the loans I have pulled out. All that is left for me to pay is my apartment rent. Because having a guarantor is out of the question, I will need to pay a whole year's rent up front by June, which is beyond me or my parents' capabilities.
Raising these funds for me to move to New York City and attend Manhattan School of Music means an incredible amount to me. My passion is solely in music, and it always has been from the very beginning. If you have ever been impacted by my performances (whether they are classical or from YouTube), I would like to ask for your help just this one time.
If you are interested, listen to my classical music performance of Liszt's Isolde's Liebestod and my video game music improvisation on Pallet Town from Pokemon!
