Maddie's Leukemia battle

Madison began her battle with Leukemia in January 2014. She is undergoing intensive chemotherapy and will continue to do so until at least October. Her Dad took a leave from work for the first 3 months and I, her Mom, will take a leave until Maddie successfully completes treatment and reaches the maintenance phase of recovery.

Where will the proceeds go?

Our family income has been cut in half and will continue to be reduced for at least five more months.

One trip to Sick Kid's costs an average of $70 to $80. This is for gas, parking, food etc. We've had many trips so far and many more to go.

We have medical coverage but it doesn't cover any of the over the counter medications of which there are too many to mention.

Maddie is in grade 11 and is an honor student. She intends to go to university right after high school.

50% of the proceeds will go to replenish her education fund. (We've had to dip into it to help pay the bills). The other 50% will go towards the expenses described above and other things she needs such as the wig she is wearing below.
