House Fire Victim
Donation protected
On Wednesday, December 2, 2020, the home of LaVentris Wood, my mother, caught fire due to flames spreading quickly from a neighboring unit. While she and her puppy, Leila, were able to escape safely, they are currently displaced indefinitely. The duplex she lived in had been her home for over 16 years. She wasn’t able to save anything except the puppy and her purse. Anything that didn’t receive extensive fire damage was stolen by neighborhood thieves while she sought shelter.
In addition to needing to secure housing, she needs clothes, shoes, toiletries, and other common essentials. LaVentris is a staple in the East Point, Georgia, community. Many may recognize her from giving a friendly smile at the CVS check-out or from delivering medicine to the Atlanta Medical Center. During this time of her need, it would be a blessing to share with her the love and support she has always given to her community.
Thank you so much for whatever you can do to help my mom recover from this setback.
