Medical Bills For Manny

On August 6th, 2020 Manuel "Manny" Dokur took a life-threatening fall from his skateboard hitting his head and causing his brain to bleed. Manny was rushed to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center and immediately underwent an emergency craniectomy to repair a subdural hematoma (a severe brain bleed). After several hours the surgery was successful, however, the USF student still has a long recovery and with complications popping up his recovery could be even longer.

On top of recovering from brain surgery, Manny is also battling a strong case of pneumonia and is still needing the assistance of a ventilator to breathe through a tracheostomy. Everyday Manny shows little signs of improving but his journey is going to be long and painful.
