Caleb Miller's Medical Expenses

Caleb Miller is a wonderful young man from Greenville, SC. I had the privilege of meeting Caleb through the amazing High School Debate & Speech community in the Carolinas when he stepped into one of my rounds. He brightened the room immediately when he stood before us. In that moment I knew that this novice competitor was special. I watched him grow in rounds first as his competion and then as a judge, once I graduated. He is pictured above with the spoils of his incredible talent!
I have laughed out loud at his flawless humor in his Facebook posts, per photos and his continual love of Ellen Degeneres. This young man is so full of life, love and has the extraordinary gift of making others laugh and love life right along with him.
After being diagnosed with a mass in his brain, Caleb underwent surgery 6 weeks ago. Since the surgery, he has had limited use of his body, permanent hearing loss, only short periods of consciousness and underwent a procedure to remove "water on the brain". Caleb's road to recovery has been a rollercoaster of emotion for his family and friends. His condition can be described as too good to stay in the hospital, but not good enough to be accepted into another care facility. Insurance has even denied their request to move Caleb into these facilities. Money is  an additional stress that no family should be faced with when their loved one is in need. Even if they are accepted into the Medicaid program, there are still costs not covered and additional things like ease of living items and services or medical equipment or services that can be covered by your donations.
As someone who's life is brightened by Caleb, even in what seems like small ways, I want to see this young man have a recovery that helps return him to the bubbly, smiling and shining individual that I, and many others, admire so much!
