Maya's treatment fund

Ed and I have decided to take Maya for treatment to the Child Mind Institute in NYC. Maya is a happy and healthy 4th grader. She loves school and has lots of friends. Since the age of 3, she has only spoken to us and her best friend Julia. We have done all that we can to help and support her and now we want to get some professional help for her. The CMI specializes in helping children like Maya. They will help her to find her voice and also to be confident to participate in class and to be her own advocate. The treatment will encompass an intake evaluation, a 4 day intensive training at the CMI and weekly follow up therapy sessions for as long as necessary. The intensive training will begin in early March. We believe that this treatment will be of great benefit to Maya and our family.
