Doug is turning 40!!!

When I married Doug, he was playing an acoustic guitar that had been given to him by an old youth pastor when he was a teenager. Six years ago, two generous friends contributed so that Doug could replace that guitar which at that point was held together by twine. Recently, Doug has started recording and playing electric guitar more frequently, and I have learned that he has a "dream guitar" (electric) that I could never alone afford to buy him. Some friends suggested I share the opportunity with those of you who have known and loved Doug and his music over the years to see if together we can pull off getting him this "dream guitar" for his fortieth birthday on May 23rd. So, here is our chance: I have saved up $1,200, and am hoping that there are enough of you out there who just might want to contribute (all gifts welcome, large and small!) so together, we can really wow him on his big day.
