I am curently pursuing ordination in the Anglican Church, and I need your help.
It's been a long road to even get this far.
As I look back on my life, it seems God has continually placed me in situations to help others grow in their faith, even when I've not been in vocational ministry. As I've witnessed God work through me in this way, I've developed a very deep passion for helping God's Church deepen their communion with Christ. I am especially passionate about spiritual formation through common worship, the disciplines, and peacemaking in the Church across jurisdictional and denominational lines.
As I have entered into the discernment process, I have had my sense of call to the ordained ministry confirmed from multiple spheres of life. The clergy at Desert Mission Anglican Church have been especially supportive in affirming my gifts for leadership. My professional colleagues have also encouraged me to pursue pastoral roles further in the local church. My own family, both immediate and extended, has also expressed support and affirmation for my gifts, abilities, and desire to serve God's Church.
At the end of the day, though, I know I am nothing without Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. All I have is from him, and I know that ordination requires a constant grounding in the Lord for strength, wisdom, discernment, and the heart and mind of Christ.
How can you help?
First, pray. I need your prayers, and I know I am helpless to do anything good apart from God's grace.
Second, give. Certain financial obligations come with the ordination process, including an application fee, a marriage and psychological assessment, and costs for travel to trainings, etc. Your donations will go to offset these costs so that I can continue through the process.
Being ordained will ultimately mean that I will be credentialed and ready to preach, teach, and administer the Lord's Supper in local churches as is needed.
