Support for The Patch Family

Michelle ,"Shelley," to those of us who know and love her, was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer on July 11, 2013.  She has always been healthy and active so this diagnosis was a surprise. She had 3 CTs which were normal.  The fourth CT showed a tumor on the back of the pancreas that is wrapped around the mesenteric artery which makes it inoperable.  It also revealed disease in her lymphnodes and metastatic lesions to the bowel.  Because of this, she is neither a candidate for radiation or surgery.  Her treatment consists of high dose chemotherapy, which is not curative and she was given a year. Her tumors seem stable at this time, so we are encouraged that she will out live that time frame. We are praying for a complete miracle.
Shelley is a daughter, sister, friend, wife and the loving mother of 3 beautiful children. They are the light of her world and her gifts from God. She is striving to maintain as much normalcy for them as possible during this difficult time.  Shelley holds onto the verse, which is her favorite, Jeremiah 29:11; "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you hope and a good future".   She knows that if this diagnosis is part of Gods plan then He will have plan for the ugly part of this process.  Her heartfelt desire is to finish well and to be used for His kingdom. 

Shelley is still working as much as she is able to, but it is my hope and desire to be able to raise money to be able to help this wonderful woman/family to ENJOY their summer in whatever way they desire, without the financial burden that her chemo treatments place on them.
