A Walk to Remember

Tax deductible
Most of us have been impacted by a loved one suffering from dementia or know someone who has. We have felt first hand the devastation of this disease, losing a mother/grandmother and now watching a father/grandfather suffer with this dreadful, debilitating disease of the mind.

Dementia is the second leading cause of death in Australia and there is still so much to learn about the possible causes, diagnosis and treatment. Investment in this research is the only way to minimise its impact in the future. We aim to raise much needed funds for this research through Dementia Australia.

West Wyalong is the hometown of Darelle & Greg & the creator of so many beautiful memories for Jess, Ellie & Tayla…..so why not do a ‘Walk to Remember – So we never forget’ from Sydney to West Wyalong!

Darelle, Ellie & Tayla will walk the 500km, in approximately 16 days with the assistance of our Support crew of Greg and Jessica taking care of all the planning, administration & day to day support!

We would love your support by way of a donation or sponsorship, if you can spare a few dollars, no matter how big or small for this great cause, please follow the links to the go Fund me page and help us take a few extra steps to see dementia eradicated from our futures. We will also need support along our walk, we will upload the route so you can take a look and see if your town is a rest stop for us!

Finally, we are grateful for the communities that we have had around us, and hope that this walk can bring together communities for discussion, learning and support. We appreciate you sharing this message as far as your network extends and we look forward to celebrating with you all at the finish line.
