Ouch! Failed Adoption=Dirt Poor Parents!

Thanks for stopping by!  We adopted our first child in 2011 and were so excited to be chosen by another birth mom in March of 2014!  We built our relationship for about 6 weeks and had no doubt that she would stick to her plan and allow us to parent her daughter, who was born in mid-April.  To our utter shock, we discovered that she had changed her mind after leaving the hospital and revoked her decision, so we placed the baby back into her care one dreary, rainy Friday night.  Although we respected her right to change her mind, it left us shattered and feeling stunned.  We spent thousands of dollars flying across the country two times during the process, and paid several thousand dollars in attorney fees that we will never see again.  We are still working with our agency and are waiting to be chosen again by another potential birth mother, which is exciting!  However, we need help regaining some of our expenses to allow us to complete another adoption attempt when the time comes.  Since time is of the essence, we are jumping right in and are asking for people to prayerfully consider making any size of a donation toward our efforts!  Thank you for caring for us in this very tangible way!
