Hi. My name is Daniel. Thanks for visiting my fundraiser page. I'm a Michigan-based yoga teacher looking to raise money for some advanced training I'll be receiving in New York in the fall.

I took my first yoga class over three years ago and have been teaching for almost two years. Those that know me know that I've fully dedicated my life to the expression and dissemination of the virtues of yoga practice.

As of today I teach 7 days a week. I get to do what I love and share my passion with some amazing people. Now I find myself preparing to take the next step in this journey and receive training from a modern master, Sri Dharma Mittra.

About Sri Dharma Mittra:

Since 1967 Sri Dharma has been teaching Classical Yoga to students from around the world. Based in New York, Sri Dharma Mittra was one of the first independent yoga teachers on the East Coast. Known as a "Teacher's Teacher," he is one of yoga's living masters.

Teacher Training with Dharma Mittra is based on his years of practice to become a yogi. "Each student is prescribed spiritual programs that will totally charge and change their entire life and help them to become a better, calmer and more content persons. The essence of these ancient teachings comes to life for each individual to use in this world of constant distraction and the results over the years have been miraculous. About this Fundraiser:

Through the practice of yoga we evolve together toward greater peace and union. Yoga has been transmitted from teachers to students for millennia in an unbroken, but branching, path. This method of exponential transmission can be so powerful, but there is risk that understanding of the true methods of yoga practice become less effective without great teachers. Dharma Mittra is one of these great teachers and through his wisdom and your help I aspire to live up to his great lineage through the propagation of yoga. 

The training with Dharma Mittra will take place over 7 days in September and 7 days in November in New York City. The tuition for the training is $5000. That doesn't include lodging in New York City for over two weeks, travel or expenses. I'm looking for assistance from some supportive souls to help cover the costs associated with this endeavour. Time after time I've experienced firsthand the limitless generousity of people in the yoga community; people who have found true value in the teachings of this ancient path. I'm in awe of the hand of divinity behind each kindness I've experienced. My feet are set firmly on this path, having no doubt of success, and I sincerely appreciate your help.

Any amount is appreciated, but there are certain levels of donation at which I can offer rewards. At higher levels I am offering private yoga lessions. These sessions can be 1-on-1, or for a group so feel free to pool funds with friends and family if you want. Unfortunately, I can only offer these lessons to MI residents within driving distance, but if you are too far away we could arrange a Skype session or something like that. I imagine doing these private sessions after going New York and having my advanced training at my disposal, but if it didn't matter and you wanted it sooner then that would be fine with me.
