On Thursday, August 28, 2025, our beloved Monica went home to be with Jesus.
Monica was born on August 2, 1979 to Malvin Anthony Patterson and Vivian Elaine (Strawn) Patterson. She married the love of her life and best friend, Ricardo Beverly, in April 2005, and together they built a beautiful family. She was the devoted mother of seven wonderful children: Micah, Joshua, Nyomie, Noah, Edeyn, Elijah, and Hosea.
A gifted and passionate singer, Monica used her voice to glorify God and bless others. She expressed her love for Christ through music, filling her home with songs of praise. She passed that love for music on to her children, who share her remarkable talent and heart for worship. Her legacy of faith and song will continue to live on through them.
Monica was the heart of her family and her sudden passing has left them devastated. A creative spirit and a woman of deep faith, she poured her life into her children—dedicating her time to homeschooling them, teaching them to love the Lord, and making sure they always knew they were cherished. Her 2nd son Joshua & first daughter Nyomie just graduated, Monica was so proud. She was her husband’s ear, confidant, motivator and best friend. Always supporting and encouraging him throughout the struggles of life. Her fierce love, joyful spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family touched everyone who knew her.
Monica was not only a wife and mother but also their caretaker, anchor, and light. Now, Ricardo and the children face a future without her presence, guidance, and daily love.
We are asking for your support—through both prayer and giving—to help her family during this unimaginable time. Donations will go towards supporting the children as they adjust to life without their beloved mother. Every prayer, every share, and every gift is a reminder of God’s provision and love.
Thank you for helping us honor Monica’s memory and surround her family with love.
“The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.” – Exodus 15:2
