Hi, I’m max and I’m here to help fundraise for my top surgery.
I have been out as transgender for a little over 6 years now and I feel as if I can’t continue to wear the chest binders that I’ve been wearing for that period of time. It’s painful, it restricts my breathing and stops me from doing some day to day activities.
I didn’t particularly want to have to raise money in this way but since the pandemic the adult service waiting list has gotten longer and whilst I’m on it, NHS funded top surgery doesn’t seem like it’ll be available in the near future.
Due to me going abroad for my studies to Japan in just over a year, my goal is to get my money raised and to have surgery before this. I feel like surgery would make my time away a lot more enjoyable in a society that isn’t as accepting of transgender people as the UK.
