The more books in the house the higher the academic achievement! Help the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee of Glen Rock and Ridgewood promote literacy and education in our county. We are collecting NEW books for all ages of children pre-k to high school. We are also fundraising to buy those books. If you can't go out to buy the books yourself let the hard-working service clubs at GRHS do the work for you!
Then please stop by the Glen Rock Municipal Annex on January 18th between 11 am and 2:30 pm to help with our service projects and crafts in celebration of MLK Day.
The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday in 2020, marks the 25th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.
Book donations can also be made at the GR Public Library, the GR Municipal Building, in the Hamilton Lobby at GRHS and GRMS 12/30-1/18!
