Vet Bills for Rescued Westies

Westie Rescue of Northern California is a non-profit service of the San Francisco Bay West Highland White Terrier Club serving all of Northern California. You may check us out on Facebook or at our Web site link:

We receive our Westies and Westie mixes from private surrenderers and have relationships with all shelters in the area. We are funded solely by private donations made by Adopters and other members of our organization and the general public.
Three Westies that we rescued recently have had extraordinary veterinary expenses. Stanley, a 5 year old, required surgeries to rebuild his back legs with costs exceeding $5000. Dixie, a 7 year old injured female from a back yard breeder, is also heart worm positive and needs 3 months of treatments and crate rest. Dixie's bills are already $1500. Then there is Tobi, a sweet 17 year old caught in a loss of home situation, who came to us with a normal blood panel and then a month later had a crisis and needed gall bladder surgery. He is doing well but we have spent over $7000 for his care. We are now about $11,500 in the red. We hope you will donate to us to restore our deficit so that we can continue our work saving Westies. In the past 3 years, we have rescued over 100 dogs. Photos of Dixie, Stanley and Tobi appear below. The photo above is the group photo of our Parade of Rescues honoring our Westies and new owners held on April, 26 2014.
Thank you for any donations you are able to make to Westie Rescue of Northern California.
