7 Year Old Killed by Drunk Driver

On January 1, 2016, J-Zabel Vital Guadalupe was hit by a drunk driver while playing near her home. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and diagnosed with a severe brain injury. Today, she lost her fight. J-Zabel was only 7 years old.

J-Zabel was in my son's class for both years of elementary school. She was a sweet child, from a loving family, who dreamed of one day being an artist. She was never short on friends and had a smile that was contagious.

For six years, J-Zabel was an only child. Her mother stayed at home to care for her. Her father worked hard to support their family on one income. J-Zabel was their world.
