Hurricane Laura Disaster Relief

Hurricane Laura devastated Louisiana on August 27, 2020. This fund is to help benefit impacted friends in Louisiana. My name is Carl Averion and as someone who was directly impacted by Hurricane Michael two years ago in Panama City, FL, I know what our friends are going through. Our friends and their family are all safe and ok, but the recovery efforts start now. During our traumatic time, many came to our aid  to help with recovery efforts, including our friends from Louisiana. I want to help them out now. I completely trust that if our friends don't need all of the donation, they will make sure it goes to good use in their community. I'll try to keep updates on this page.

I was given $3000 to help with my own recovery efforts no questions asked, so that's the goal is to return the favor and hopefully more! I used that money to help buy tarps, generators, gasoline, food, drinks, chains, medical supplies, air conditioners/fans, and anything else you could think of during hurricane recovery efforts for myself, family, friends, and the community. I'm guessing that our friends now will be without power for a few weeks, just like my family went through. As paralyzing as it is to see the footage from Laura, as much as it reminds me of the trauma we went through, I want to help as much as I can.

Any donations received will go directly to our friends for their recovery efforts.
