My name is Conor McClure and I'm a dancer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I split my time between teaching, performance, and choreography. I teach variety of styles- ballroom at a studio in San Jose, modern and jazz at UC Santa Cruz (my alma mater), and musical theater to children's theater groups. I recently completed an internship at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, Massachusetts. More information can be found at http://www.jacobspillow.org
I was very fortunate to cover the cost of racing across the country to get here in eight days, but the budget I set back then cannot realistically cover my return journey. I've set money aside to help cover a more leisurely trip home, but $400 in unexpected repair costs have really eaten into the money I raised through GoFundMe.
This time I plan to couch surf as much as possible, but I will also be purchasing an $80 National Parks Pass to give myself a camping option as I go.
Budget:
Gas, one way= $400-500
Camping at a KOA Campground= $30 per night, $240 for 8 nights
Food costs= variable, hoping to keep under $30 per day
Not to mention the unexpected expenses that crop up on any trip.
Any support would be greatly appreciated! No amount is too small- $5 could buy the gallon of gas that gets me to my next destination. If you're unable to give, a share on facebook or via email would be much appreciated.
