Due to the slow progression of the disease Janie has had the opportunity to get further education and had a short career in Film. For 10 years she lived on a farm in TN. and learned to preserve fruit and vegetables. In TN, she wrote for a local magazine whose primary goal was to promote sustainability.
In 2014, Janie and Lisa wrote a book, "Sweet, Sour, Bitter.""This book is available on Kindle and Amazon.
