Adventure Time...Starting Over...Divorce

As we struggle to get past the hurt, and begin our grieving process. I never imagined being a single parent, I always thought I would grow old with my husband, raise our children together and be happy. However, after 15 years (June) now I have to accept that God has other plans for me and my children. And although I do not know what he has planned I have to believe that there is a purpose - that this is something bigger than me. With my heart and soul I feel that I need to be near my family back home in Virginia. The cost of relocating is daunting and as much as I would not like to ask for help, I find myself here doing that very thing- asking for your help. Of all the endeavors I have had over the years, never did I have to ask for assistance. And now I must for my children, for me, for a better life, for a chance to start over I ask you my family and friends if you can please help us.
We are hoping to be able to secure a PODS unit to store what furniture we have and the children's favorite items, this will cost 4,190.00 to ship from Redlands CA to Hampton VA. And the children and I will be driving across the United States. It will take us about seven days maybe more. Why so long you may ask? Well:All three of my children are on the Autism Spectrum; we have a therapeutic cat that will travel with us as well and... I cannot drive at night due to a service connected injury while in the U.S. Army. I estimate the cost of gas and lodging and food will run about 2,000.00. So between the moving of household goods and travel I estimate that I will need about 6,000.00. I realize that his amount of money is crazy to ask for but as a Mom who has run out of options I am hoping that it just might happen probably not today or tomorrow or even next week but maybe just maybe before the end of May.
I am planning on taking photos during our trip and posting them here as we make our way across this great United States so that all of you can see our progress. Along the way I hope to stop here and there and use this trip as a wonderful way to continue our homeschooling while on the move.
