Help Briana Fight Crohn's Disease !!!
Most of you who know me are aware of the condition I continue to carry since I was diagnosed in 2005; Crohn's Disease; a chronic inflammatory disease that could affect anywhere from the mouth to the colon. Crohn's disease is where the body thinks it's being invaded and attacks itself, along with constant abdominal pain, weight loss, fatigue, vomiting, nausea, diaherra, muscle and joint pain, as well as depression. Even before 2005, my life has been everything but just a bumpy road. Living with the struggles and side effects of this debilitating disease the dreams I have in life have been put on a major hold.
After surgery on my intestines, a bundle full of pills, injections, steroids and anti depressants I knew it was time for a change. I was hoping for a positive change, but I guess someone had other plans for me. In the beginning of this year, I went for an endoscopy procedure due to excessive pain and burning in my upper abdomen. Given the results, the disease has moved and is affecting my stomach and esophagus along with ulcers. Crohn's disease has taken over my life and now robbing me of memories I should be making. Since there is no cure for this disease yet, I run into constant battles with doctors and hospital visits which continues to pile up my already OUTSTANDING hospital/medical bills. Due to living my life around the symptoms I have been out of work and have started to lose hope in feeling well again. My new doctor has a plan of his own to get the disease under control by giving his holistic insight. It's hard emotionally, mentally, and physically to get out of this mindset, but my family continues to try and uplift my spirits with positive outlook.
The money raised will help pay towards the $170,000 (and growing) medical/hospital bills, all natural/organic and gluten free foods as well as giving a portion to a Crohn's and Colitis Charity here in Florida. I am ready to start enjoying my early 20's so any little donation helps towards finding a cure as well as helping me find the light back in my life again.
