Hello! My friend who I will call Sarah is on an amazing journey! She just left her abuser (her husband of 9 years) with nothing but clothes for herself and her beautiful 7 year old daughter.
Sarah suffered all forms of abuse. In 2017 her husband broke her cheek bone and abuse continued after that with black eyes and worse kickings and beatings, mostly hitting her on her head. He would not let her hold a job for 7 years due to jealousy over her male co-workers.
Sarah endured emotional and financial abuse as well. Often times her husband would not give her money for things like food, tampons, and clothing.
Her husband did not allow her to have friends, would cut off her phone, or leave the house except going places with him. She was so isolated to the point that she had no one to help her leave.
Sarah is beautiful, talented, creative and loving. She would prefer to return to her experience of legal assistant, do clerical work in law firms, and go back to school to get a paralegal certificate. Eventually she wants to help women like herself with the legal aspects of leaving their abusers.
Through some financial help she was able to make it to her mother's home (her mother is unable to help her financially) where she secured a job with McDonalds. Then another crisis arose! Her best friend was rushed to the hospital where she left her 3 children alone with no care (girls ages 7, 9, and 11). With more financial assistance, Sarah rescued these girls. Her friend (the mother of the 3 girls ), is still under medical care. Sarah will receive food stamps soon, but otherwise has barely anything to support herself and the 4 children.
I am starting this campaign so that Sarah has money for food, medical care for the children and herself, basic necessities, legal fees, and transportation. (she does not have a car). Sarah sends me all her receipts, is extremely responsible with all the financial assistance she receives.
In addition to GoFundMe, Sarah can receive money through FaceBook, Venmo, and PayPal.
