Hello Friends,

Unfortunately,I got news that my mother died (unexpectedly) in her apartment in Fall River earlier this week. I have no connection with Fall River; my mother was placed in Section 8 housing there some months ago and has no insurance policy. My entire focus right now is trying to ensure that my mother is buried in Boston area, not Fall River and gets the respect she deserves. Neither myself nor anyone in my family have the funds to visit her graveside there, perhaps not even the ability to be present when she is laid to rest.

I am in contact with a mortician in Fall River who has my mother right now. Lopes Funeral home is helping me make arrangements for her to be put to rest in Boston, her home. Because of financial strain, I decided to do a cremation and I am trying to raise some money to give the woman that gave me life the proper respect she deserves.

If anyone can help or even just keep me in your thoughts, it is very much appreciated.
