April 16,2014 will forever be the day that changed my life completely. I never thought being 30 years old with a 7 month old baby i would recieve the news that i had stage 4 breast cancer which had spread to my lymph nodes and sternum. I was in utter shock, how could this happen to me!!?? I had finally got to a place in my life where i was truly happy and felt complete for once. I
was home with my son alone and couldnt stop crying, i felt defeated. I will never forget the look on my sons face when i was hysterical, he was so confused bc he had never seen me cry before. He actually started laughing at me, it was probably the best thing he couldve done bc right then and there i realized what i needed to do. I needed to fight!! It wasnt about me anymore, I have to stay strong for my baby, he needs me! June 4, 2014 was the start of my 20 weeks of chemotherapy, i now have 10 weeks left and my body is fighting the "Big C" like an animal. My tumor which was 3cm is now down to .5cm or less. I couldnt be more grateful for my progress, I AM SUPERWOMAN!! I still have a long road ahead of me, surgery next, numerous radiation treatments and then 5 years of anti-cancer drugs. Bring it on "Big C" prepare to get your ass handed to you, you messed with the wrong girl!
