Please help Summer earn her wheels!

Please help Summer get her wheels! The state of Washington's insurance companies won't pay for adaptive bikes. We would appreciate any size donation you could offer to get to Summer's goal. Summer is a happy 5 1/2 yr old girl who wants to be like other kids. :). As seen in this picture, she was able to test drive an adaptive bike at therapy a couple of weeks ago. She grinned from ear to ear for the entire 45 minute ride! Summer was born 13 weeks early (along with her twin sister, who only lived 10 days). She weighed only 2 lbs, 11 oz, but was a tough, determined little girl from the start. At 2 weeks old, she contracted NEC (nectrotizing enterocolitis) and lost 90% of her bowel, resulting in short bowel syndrome. The trauma to her body caused a brain injury that resulted in cerebral palsey. She has faced all of her many challenges with a big smile and wants desperately to be a "normal" kid. We are hoping to help her be able to be outside to ride with her older siblings and friends. Not only would this bike mean a boost in her social life and feeling of independence, but her physical therapist is recommending it to help her gain strength in her legs, and get her closer to her ultimate goal of walking! Thank you in advance for your kindness!! Here is the website with more information on this adaptive bike...freedom concepts adaptive bike discover dcp-12
