Smith Family Hurricane Relief

Andrea and her family live on a military base in North Carolina in Camp Lejeune. Her husband has been deployed for about a year and when Hurricane Florence started descending toward the Carolina coastline, Andrea packed up her four-year old daughter, along with their two long-haired Chihuahuas and evacuated, not knowing what they would find when they returned.

It has now been ten days since the hurricane, and on returning home, the base deemed their house uninhabitable, leaving Andrea to only be able to recover a few personal items and completely displaced. 

Andrea’s renters insurance will cover the big items, but not little things like clothing, bedding, kitchen items, toys, books and other things that make a house a home. 

Finding a new home and equipping it with the necessities will be daunting. Money raised from this campaign will be given directly to Andrea and her family to use to purchase things they need to rebuild a home.
