Global Medical Brigades Ghana

Hey everyone!! 

I was lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to travel to Ghana this winter break with The University of Texas at Austin's Global Medical Brigades. We'll be spending 7 days in Ghana providing surrounding communities with access to doctors, medicine, and health education workshops.

For every one medical volunteer, 55 people will receive access to medical care. Your donations will help pay for housing, food, transportation, medical supplies, and also help the national Global Brigades organization.

As a volunteer through the program I will be able to take vitals, patient history in triage, shadow licensed doctors, and assist in the pharmacy. Along with providing direct medical care, we also spend time doing public health projects spreading awareness on healthcare and supplying communities with basic needs.

I am so grateful to been given this opportunity. Any type of donation helps me, the national brigade organization, and every individual that the organization reaches out to.
