Four years ago, I met the love of my life, Samantha, I knew from the moment I met her she would be my wife. As an added bonus to Samantha's awesomeness she came with two beautiful daughters, Anniston and Addison. Like a lot of relationships nowadays Samantha bringing children into the relationship wasn't much of an issue, however, Addison came with a challenge. Addison was born with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. Also due to constant aspiration, she had a feeding tube placed to supply her nutrition. Some people Would be apprehensive about going into a relationship that involves a child with a disability, but anyone who spends five minutes with Addison knows that She is well worth it. So, needless to say she had me wrapped around her finger from the beginning.

In December of 2013, the day she was dropped from all of her disability benefits, Addison suffered another seizure which landed her in the hospital for a few days each trip. I was terrified as any father would be. It's bad enough having a child hospitalized than to add to the stress of your child being in the hospital, be given over $20,000 in medical bills not knowing how you'll be able to pay them. So, I swallowed my pride and decided to ask for help.

I've seen on the Chive and Facebook the success that GoFundMe pages have had in meeting peoples needs so I decided to make one for Addison and spread the word of it with several Oklahoma Chive chapters; Chive On Tulsa, BA Chivers, and Chive On Jenks being a few of them. I knew it was reaching but I also knew I had to try.

Addison is a go getter at heart and one of the biggest things that I admire about her is that she refuses to let her disability stop her, she loves to play outside with her sister, het mother and me and it breaks my heart to see the frustration on her face when she can't make it through the playground or rough terrain because her walker and chair are ill-equip. Like a lot of fathers I want the optimal quality of life for my children so I did some homework and found several options, but I feel the best option would be an Action Track Chair. This chair would be used for a very long time and would definitely accommodate her love for her outdoors style.

So, that's Addison's story, I Appreciate you all taking the time to read it and we are so grateful for every contribution made to us. I will be posting updates for every step that Addison makes so you all can share in her happiness and success. Thank you, God bless and KCCO
