A Surprise for Brenden

Brenden Fry is my handsome little nephew who suffers from Spina bifida. He is 10 years old and has undergone many surgeries and been in a hospital way too many times to count. He is one brave kid for sure. Brenden will never be able to walk. The older he gets the harder that becomes. He can't easily participate in all activities his friends can but despite how hard that is-he still maintains a good attitude. He has to have a catheter put in 3 times a day everyday for the rest of his life to empty his bladder. Because of complications from previous surgeries, this takes up to two hours just to get the catheter in each time he does it and is extremely painful. He spends up to 6 hours a day doing something that takes most of us only 6 minutes a day to do. Three times a day he knows he is going to have to endure great prolonged pain in order to prevent infection and make sure his bladder doesn't rupture. No one should have to live like that. The pain shouldn't be there but it is from a past surgery-a surgery that he is probably going to have to have again to help him cath much faster. It should only be taking up to 15 minutes from beginning to end. He has spent most of his summer with a urine bag attached to him because of these complications-which of course limits him even more and would be more than embarrassing if anyone saw. He is a great kid and deserves great things! He keeps a better attitude than any of us would if we were in his shoes. But these cathing issues have broken down his spirit at times, to the point where he tells his family that he just wants to go back to home to Heaven. I set up this fund in hopes to get some money for him to be able to go on a trip with his family and give him something to look forward too. Something to help him know he is loved by many and that we all want the best for him. Brenden doesn't ever ask for much (or really anything at all) but a trip with his family to a place where he can enjoy life and maybe help ease his pain and daily trials I know would help give him an extra push of hope and happiness.
