Hello everyone, my name is Gary E. Galvez Causadias, and I have been selected as a candidate to represent Panama in the 2014 One Young World (OYW) Summit, the largest youth summit in the world, to be held in Dublin , Ireland in October this year. OYW brings together young professionals and students from different areas and countries to discuss issues of global magnitude, including education, transparency in business and government, the impact of climate change, global health, the fight against hunger, the importance of sport development, youth unemployment, and the leadership of our generation. Further, we will be in company of a group of world leaders, including Fortune 500 CEOs, Nobel Laureates, and former presidents who will share their experiences in these and other fields.

Once the summit ends, delegates become OYW Ambassadors, and are committed to work on their own social and / or business initiatives, both at home and in their current jobs. Ambassadors also have the support of the OYW network to work on movements and initiatives that already exist.
Please help me to represent Panama and meet other young professionals who share the dream of increasing the role of sports in the social development of our countries.

Hola a todos, mi nombre es Gary E. Gálvez Causadias, y he sido seleccionado como uno de los candidatos para representar a Panamá en la Cumbre 2014 de One Young World (OYW), el evento para jóvenes más grande del mundo, que se celebrará en Dublin, Irlanda en octubre de este año. OYW reúne a jóvenes profesionales y estudiantes de diversas áreas y países para discutir temas de magnitud mundial, incluyendo la educación, la transparencia en los negocios y el gobierno, el impacto del cambio climático, la salud global, la lucha contra el hambre, la importancia del deporte para el desarrollo, el desempleo juvenil, y el liderazgo de nuestra generación. Además, nos acompañará un grupo de líderes mundiales, entre ellos presidentes de compañías Fortune 500, Premios Nobel, y ex presidentes que compartirán sus experiencias en estos y otros campos.

Una vez que la Cumbre culmine, los delegados se vuelven Embajadores de OYW, y se comprometen a trabajar en sus propias iniciativas sociales y/o empresariales, tanto en su país como en sus trabajos actuales. Además, contarán con el apoyo de la red OYW para trabajar en movimientos e iniciativas que ya existen.

Por favor, ayúdame a representar a Panamá en alto y a conocer otros jóvenes profesionales que compartan el sueño de aumentar el rol de los deportes en el desarrollo social de nuestros países.
