Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage

Donation protected
Last Spring, I was waiting to hear the results if I had ovarian cancer. The results came back negative. At that point in time, I decided to make changes in my life that reflected how I wanted to LIVE LIFE to its fullest and not just do time.

A few months ago, we were waiting to hear if my 19 yr old daughter, Abby had breast cancer. The tumor that was removed tested negative.

We both felt the urge to travel together this summer and do something meaningful to rejoice in being alive. To LIVE LIFE and give thanks.

We will be doing the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage ( The Way) starting in St. Jean Pied de Port, France ( hiking over the Great Pryenees) and walking the 500 miles to Santiago, Spain. We plan on being away for our 50 day journey, carrying our provisions in a 12 lb backpack.

As Pilgrims, we will stay in albergues (hostel type of dorms) that one needs to have a credential to stay in. We will be eating simple meals and will rely upon the kindness of others as we make our way across Spain.

As a public school teacher, and my daughter as a full time college student, money for a pilgrimage like this is costly. We would greatly appreciate your financial and spiritual support as we set out on our Pilgrimage.
