My Journey to Transplant

Hey everyone! A lot of you know me already, but my name is Rose Stafura. My husband is Mark, a we have a beautiful 5 year old girl. I have been battling kidney failure with an unknown cause since 2010, shortly after our Haley Bug was born. I went into complete End Stage Renal Failure in March 2012. To this day, I feel lucky to be alive. Also, since then, I have been waiting patiently for a kidney transplant. And that day has finally come!
On OCTOBER 7TH!!! My donor ANGEL will be donating a kidney to me at UPMC in PittsburghI! But a big time surgery comes with big time expenses! There are many expenses not covered by any type of medical insurance, such as Mark taking off work to be my 24 hour a day care giver, me being off work, childcare needs for haley, taking care of my dogs while I'm gone. Traveling expenses back and forth to the hospital, wear and tear on the vehicle, food expenses for mark while he stays at the hospital.....the list goes on and on and on. That's where all of you could come into help us! This is why we created this account, to help offset some of these expenses we may have.
