Please help our precious son. Charlie has recently been diagnosed with Plagiocephaly (also known as flat head syndrome) and will need a Hanger Cranial Band. The helmet cost is $3,000. Our insurance will cover $900 and we are responsible for the remaining balance. As many of you know, Charlie was born premature at 35 weeks and at 6 days old, it was discovered that he has Medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (MCAD) deficiency. It is a condition that prevents the body from converting certain fats to energy, particularly during periods without food (fasting). He has to eat every 3 hours to avoid a metabolic crisis which could lead to death. Due to him being premature, his risk of Plagiocephaly is greatly increased. Charlie has been through so much in his short life, please help us get him the treatment he needs.
