Singing South Africa

The Chicago Childrens Choir was founded in 1956 to bring children from different racial, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds together. I joined the choir when I was eight. To say that CCC has changed my life would be an understatement. Being surrounded by people, culture, and music from all over Chicago and the world made me who I am today. My first tour with the choir was to Springfield, IL, followed by Boston MA, Denver CO,and San Fransisco CA. Each tour taught me a great deal and gave me new perspectives of the world. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am at recieving this oppertunity. This would be my first time I traveling outside the country since I was very young. I am not only excited for the travel I am really interested in South Africa's incredibly rich history and I believe that South African music is among the most beautiful in the world. I have been honored with a scholorship from my choir and need to match the funds in order to go on the trip. Any and All donations are welcome! Even likeing or sharing my page helps me on my journey!
