Education Funding for Barbering...Keep it Alive!

My name is Plus Davis I am campaigning for Headz 1st Barber Institute. Headz 1st Barber Institute has been a Barber school in Loudoun County, VA since 2013. The Purpose of Headz 1st Barber Institute is to not only teach the basic skills needed to pass the Virginia Barbering state board exam, but also to help pass on a profession that men, women, boys and girls can be proud to be apart of and hopefully some will continue to pass it on.
The purpose of this campaign is to raise money to keep one of the worlds oldest professions alive and thriving! The only way to do that is through education; which means supporting our alternative avenues of education institutions such as Headz 1st Barber Institute. Having Barber schools and schools similar allows those who may not attend a two year college or four year University a chance to get educated, learn several skills and become just as successful as those that decide to go to a two or four year college/university. For those who learn barbering at an early age before graduating high school they will now be able to take this profession with them to college and make a great living being a Barber while attending college. Barbering is also good for people who may be looking for a career change, or looking to learn something new.
As one of the worlds oldest professions dating back to 5000 B.C., barbering is a profession that not only deserves more respect but also to continue to live on for several more decades. Although being one of the worlds oldest professions and providing services outside of hair cutting in the earlier days of barbering, such as blood letting and teeth pulling. Barbers still cant seem to get that respect that some of these other professions receive that have not been around as long.
Headz 1st Barber Institute is expanding. This Expansion will include more theoretical and practical space for the students and to obtain accreditation through the United States government. Having accreditation added will provide more opportunities for our students to pay for tuition cost. Grants and financial aid assistance which will allow students access to funding that will help pay, or pay in full for their tuition for barbering school. Having and supporting barber schools such as Headz 1st Barber Institute, will open doors of opportunity for so many people in the community. In doing so it will help stabilize struggling communities by creating career training and thousands of job opportunities for the local communities.
