Supplies for Baby Evelyn

My niece and her husband, a soldier at Ft. Bragg just gave birth to a little girl who essentially shouldn't be alive. At 18 weeks into her pregnancy the baby was diagnosed with Alobar Holoprosencephaly. It was never an option to terminate her pregnancy, god gave them a miracle and they intended to see it thru, despite the doctors recommendation to terminate. They were told that even if the baby made it to full term, there was ZERO chance of survival outside of Mom's body. They kept their faith that their little one would be ok. Even if she only had minutes to live, they wanted every second of her life to be filled with love. She was born on 04/14/2014 (36 weeks gestation) not because of any issues with the baby but because Moms body couldn't hold out any longer. The little sweet pea entered the world crying. A sound our family thought we would never hear. It is the single most precious sound any of us has ever heard. She truly is a miracle! Shortly after delivery she was also diagnosed with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (water on the brain) and has severe facial abnormalities. She had surgery yesterday to close the hole in her spine.  Her surgery was a success! The family has been told that they can take their little princess home in as little as 5 days. Because they were told to plan for a funeral and not to plan to bring a baby home, they have nothing. A facebook page for military members posted their story and the outpouring of love and generosity of these absolute strangers has been amazing, to say the least. What we are asking for mostly is prayers for our sweet angel and Mom and Dad! Any donations from the community or organizations are also immensely appreciated. There is still a need for preemie clothes and newborn clothing, bedding, blankets, diapers, wipes, similac sensitive formula, feeding tube supplies, sterile bandages to prevent infection getting to her surgical sites.
